 * Hi there
 * I am after a custom date format. In “Job Listings > Settings” I have selected“
   Date Format: Default date format as defined in Settings” but it has made no difference,
   as it still shows the relative date. It certainly isn’t using the WordPress date
   format. Am I doing something wrong?
 * Cheers
    Chris

 * [@ckhatton](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ckhatton/) can you elaborate
   a bit? Which date format is it showing and what are you selecting? I just testing
   this on my test site and the setting is working fine.

 * I have selected the date format “Default date format as defined in Settings”,
   yet on the front-end it still shows the job dates as relative to the current
   date.

 * What does “Default date format as defined in Settings” even mean? In which settings?

 * [@ckhatton](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ckhatton/) basically this is
   respecting the global date format that you set in your WordPress Settings, so
   you can either use that or override it.

 * Thank you.
 * Going back to the issue now, selecting “Default date format as defined in Settings”
   has no effect and on the front-end it still shows the job dates as relative to
   the current date as you can see…

 * [@ckhatton](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ckhatton/) the likely explanation
   here is that your theme is doing this, so I would contact them. Maybe there is
   something in your theme settings?
