# Custom Dropdown Field?

 * Is it possible to add a custom field that is a dropdown in Connections Business
   Directory? I am using Organization publish type.
 * I see that I can add a custom field, but it only shows “value”, which appears
   to only ever be a free-type text field. Is there a dropdown option in custom 
   fields?

 * Yes, it is very possible. Follow the following tutorial on a checkbox group:

 * Change `checkboxgroup` to `select`.
 * Then you can follow the textbox tutorial to display the saved value in a template.
