# Custom Fields change

 * Hi Dominique,
 * The changes to the code did not search our custom fields. I added this line:
 * `$cust_array[] = $aCustom_item . '_str';`
    at line #352 of advanced-search-by-
   my-solr-server.inc.php
 * Adding this line returns results that match items in custom fields. I wish I 
   was more familiar with the plugin and SOLR to know why this change matters, but
   it does in our instance.
 * **On another note, I have a request:**
 * We currently have a TON of custom fields in our system. If we select them all
   we get a timeout and the search doesn’t work because it’s sending the request
   by get and the request is too long. Would it be possible to add an option to 
   _search all custom fields_ without having to check each checkbox, which then 
   sends a request that is too big?
