# Custom Fields does not appear

 * I just installed the free plugin and am following the[ ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eMCOE9x5mCc)**
   WordPress Advanced Custom Fields for Beginners – Part One** tutorial. Right out
   of the box, the Custom Fields link in the left-hand sidebar does not appear.
 * However, I am getting this warning at the top of my dashboard: **ACF Content 
   Analysis for Yoast SEO requires Advanced Custom Fields (free or pro) 5.7 or higher
   to be installed and activated.** Yet, I have the latest version of the Yoast 
   SEO Premium plugin. 3:53 into the video and I can’t even go forward from there.
 * I’d be willing to upgrade to premium but only if the free version works to give
   me a sense that it’s worth my time and money. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 * The notification on your dashboard appears to tell you’re running an older version
   and hence update the **Advanced Custom Fields (free or pro) 5.7 or higher**.
 * Once you update it, the notification should disappear and fix the custom field
   issue.
 * Regarding Yoast SEO Premium, if you’re an active subscription of it on your website
   and issues are related to Yoast SEO, please contact our support team for assistance

 * If you do not have an active premium subscription, you can either [purchase a subscription](https://yoast.com/reasons-to-upgrade/)
