# Custom PHP files – theming

 * Hi,
 * New to the forums, have a site I am working on and hoping someone can point me
   in the right direction for what I am trying to accomplish.

 * I have some custom PHP code that allows the user to search a MYSQL database for
   listings. I created the PHP file and added it as a template for the specific 
   page, and this seems to work great.
 * The issue I am having is with the results and subsequent pages from there. I 
   am not sure how to apply the header and footer to the results page without it
   breaking.
 * I am in the process of importing the search from my local web server, so some
   of the links on the pages may still be broken, FYI.
 * Any help appreciated.

 * Rephrasing my question may help get a response. Basically I have php code acting
   as a template for a page. The code yields results on another php file. The results
   don’t share the theming, etc of the main template file, and any attempts to use
   the get header call in the main file on the results page causes errors.
 * If anyone has seen a topic on this before, or knows of a resource I can look 
   into further, that would help too.
