# Custom posts on index.php

 * I’m creating a theme where each post has the ability to be customized (eg. header
   color, font, background etc.), using this plugin: [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-post-template/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-post-template/)
 * However, the plugin only works on the post page itself (the template function
   taking effect instead of **single.php**).
 * The **index.php** page shows the regular design, with no ability to view each
   post as customized.
 * Is there a way of showing the custom page templates for each post on **index.
   php**? Any ideas? Perhaps there’s a plugin for it?
