• I have used this plugin for awhile and never had issues until recently. When I am in the admin area and want to add a new widget on a particular sidebar the inner scroll bar for the sidebars doesn’t move. I can’t put the widgets in the order I would like to, and this has never happened in the past. I really like this plugin but I need to make site changes and this is making that difficult. I have tried 2 different themes and had the issue with both.

  • Hi @beecreativelyou,

Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

It’s working fine on my test site using latest version of custom sidebars plugin.

It was working fine for you so have you added/updated/deleted anything recently that caused this issue?

Is it happening only on any particular browser?
Could you please test it on different browser?

Can you check the java script console for errors on the widgets page?

In Chrome go to “View -> Developer -> Javascript Console” and in Firefox you can go to “Tools -> Web Developer -> Console”

Find information about how to open JavaScript browser console :

Let me know what errors if any you are getting when you face this issue so that i can troubleshoot it.

    Kind Regards,

i have the same problem on mac / firefox

    Hey there Zetona,

Have you done any of the troubleshooting suggested by Vinod?

Alternatively you might want to test for plugin/theme conflict. Please try using default WordPress theme like Twenty Fifteen and deactivating all other plugins as displayed in the following flowchart to know which theme/plugin is conflicting if any.

Please let me know if you find anything 🙂

    Hi Bojan,

the problem occurs even in a fresh install with only Custom Sidebars installed. It doesnt happen in Chrome, so i guess its a Firefox related issue with the plugin. I dont have a windows machine to test it, so i can only speak about the mac side.

    Hey again Zetona,

I’ve tested this on both Windows and Mac using Firefox and I’ve had the same results. Scroll seems to be really slow compared to chrome but it is working properly as you can see in this video here http://screencast.com/t/gcpF8TtSOa.

Are you having any errors displayed in the console when you use developer tools in admin?

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hey again Zetona,

A quick follow up on this one. After doing some searching on our forum I’ve found a similar issue with our premium version of the plugin.

After some testing it appears that the issue is related only when using touch pad on Mac/Firefox, is that the case on your end as well since we couldn’t reproduce this when using mouse.

This has been reported to our developer so he can investigate this further.

    Thanks for reporting this 🙂

    Best regards,
    Bojan
