 * I am using underscores and have stripped it down to build out only what I need.
   On a lot of themes I see most pages open with this:
 * div id=”primary” class=”content-area”>
    <main id=”main” class=”site-main” role
   =”main”>
 * Are these necessary to keep? I already have my site built out in html/css using
   my own containers etc…. is WordPress dependent on these? I deleted them and just
   open my main element in header and close it in footer… then use my containers
   in my pages as needed.
 * I appreciate any help. Thanks!

 * No, WordPress is not dependent on what the theme outputs, since the theme is
   the last stage before the user sees it. The underscores theme is just a starter
   base to help theme authors get going.
