Custom User Registration Plugin?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been looking for a plugin that would allow a certain kind of user registration on a WordPress-powered site I’m working on.

Ideally, I would like users to be able to create accounts which they could then use to view certain information relating to services they have signed up for, etc. – but because the activities of these users would be unrelated to reading, writing, or editing post/page content on the site, I was hoping for something that would (at least appear to) work independently of the default user registration behavior and admin area built into WordPress.

My searches so far have turned up a number of plugins for creating paid subscription content and modifying the WordPress login behavior, but so far nothing that seems to really fit what I’m looking for.

Does anyone know of existing plugins that do something similar to what I’m describing? Thanks in advance for any information.
