Yes, when a customer uses the affiliates coupon code, it will track/record the purchase and commission on the affiliate dashboard.
I see there is an affiliate + coupon link generated on the dashboard. Let me see if I have the right idea:
If a customer purchases the product and enters the coupon code, they see no discount, and the affiliate is credited with the sale.
IF the customer follows the affiliate + coupon link it takes them to my home screen. Then they must navigate to the product, and credit follows automatically.
So if I add a button linking to the product on the home screen, the customer journey is simplified.

Addendum to above – does the coupon follow from the home screen throughout? Or do I tell my affiliates to send instructions to purchase product & enter then coupon code.

If the customer purchases a product using the affiliates coupon code, they will get the discount that you’ve set the affiliate coupons to have, and the affiliate that is assigned to that coupon is credited with the sale.
With the referral links, you can generate a referral link to direct the visitor to any page. So a referral link could be generated on the affiliate dashboard to go to a specific product page.
When the referral link is clicked, it will automatically apply the coupon code to the customers cart, so they don’t have to enter it themselves. Learn more here: https://couponaffiliates.com/docs/referral-urls
Sorry for one more addendum:
Is the plug-in referral URL designed with a product landing page in mind? I could add a button to the product on the home screen, or if I can figure out how to do it, I could create a landing page for just that product that the referral URL points to. I have hundreds of products, only one of which is offered to affiliates.
