# Customize function not saving

 * I’ve been trying to add another category to my primary menu, and every time I
   click “save and publish” in the customizer, it loads for a bit but does not change
   to “saved.” Other efforts to customize any changes are also unsuccessful. How
   should I make my customizations saveable again?

 * Hi, first off as a test, go to Appearance > Menus in your dashboard and try adding
   the category there and save.
 * Also, log out of your site and clear your browser cache and cookies and then 
   log back in and try again.
 * If that doesn’t do the trick, then disable all browser extensions/plugins and
   see if things work.
 * Past that, it could be any issue with your WordPress installation. You can reinstall
   WordPress on your site at Dashboard > Updates and click on the Re-install Now
   button. I would suggest making a complete backup of your site through your web
   hosting control panel before doing that just in case something goes awry.
