Customize Hestia don’t work

I just installed the free version of the Hestia theme on a new WordPress installation hosted at Siteground. I have no plugins except for those that comes with the installation. When I enter the appearance customization screen the only options I get is to configure widgets, read the documentation and install the recommended plugins. Seems to me that there is some part of the code for this great theme that does not work with my installation. Can you please help?
