 * the customizer theme does not work. I have tried with all plugins deactivated
   and the default WordPress twenty-two theme, and also with Astra theme and Sydney
   theme. When you activate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin, the customizer theme
   simply does not load and the page gets stuck trying to load the customizer. Any
   ideas to solve this? Thanks in advance.

 * Hi, thanks for posting your question. You can perhaps try opening the browser
   console when the issue occurs in the Customizer; [here](https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis)
   is how. If there are any messages in red text, please take a screenshot, upload
   the screenshot to WeTransfer.com or any online location like Dropbox etc. and
   share the link here. We’ll take a look and go from there. If there is no red
   text present in the console, we’ll offer further troubleshooting suggestions.

 * Thanks for the screenshot. If you have access to your hosting control panel you
   could perhaps enable WordPress debug and debug logging and then recreate the
   issue. If there is a PHP notice, warning, or error, the information will write
   to a debug.log file which you can check and hopefully find out more about why
   the Customizer isn’t loading. We detail the process [here](https://siteorigin.com/troubleshooting/debugging-in-wordpress/).

 * Hi, that’s great news, thanks for keeping us updated.
 * If you want to use Chrome you can perhaps try clearing your browser cache to
   see if that helps. You can also try an Incognito window in Chrome to see if perhaps
   a browser extension is involved.
 * All the best with your site.

 * Hi dsiteinth
 * We’re investigating and will let you know what we find. Does the issue resolve
   on your end if you switch from Chrome to Firefox, assuming you’re using Chrome?

 * Friends; we’ve done hours of testing. Downgrading the Widgets Bundle (many versions
   back) and downgrading the WordPress core has no effect. The Customizer and Widgets
   Bundle work for me using Chrome 125.0.6422.77. The issue persists in Brave. Alex
   at SiteOrigin will confirm tomorrow but it looks like there was an issue in Chrome
   and at least on my end, locally and on our test server, the issue is resolved
   in Chrome.
   Brave is built on Chromium, the same open-source project that Google
   Chrome is based on. This means that Brave shares a lot of the same underlying
   code and features as Chrome. However, Brave also includes its own unique features
   and customizations.
 * When an issue is fixed in Chrome, it may take some time for that fix to be incorporated
   into the Chromium codebase, and then even more time for the Brave developers
   to integrate the updated Chromium code into a new version of Brave. The exact
   timing can vary depending on the complexity of the issue and the release schedules
   of both Chromium and Brave.
   The above is not certain but my best guess after
   extensive troubleshooting. Here are the steps to check if you’re on the latest
   version of Chrome in Windows and macOS:
 * For Windows:
    1. Open Google Chrome.
    2. Click on the three vertical dots icon in the upper right corner of the browser
       window.
    3. From the dropdown menu, hover over “Help” and then click on “About Google Chrome.”
    4. The “About” page will automatically check for updates and show you the current
       version of Chrome you’re using.
    5. If an update is available, Chrome will automatically download and install it.
       Once the update is complete, click “Relaunch” to restart Chrome and apply the
       update.
 * For macOS:
    1. Open Google Chrome.
    2. Click on “Chrome” in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
    3. From the dropdown menu, click on “About Google Chrome.”
    4. The “About” page will automatically check for updates and show you the current
       version of Chrome you’re using.
    5. If an update is available, Chrome will automatically download and install it.
       Once the update is complete, click “Relaunch” to restart Chrome and apply the
       update.
 * In both cases, after the relaunch, you can go back to the “About” page to verify
   that you’re now running the latest version of Chrome. Chrome will also display
   a green check mark and a message indicating that Chrome is up to date.
   Please
   let us know how you get. We’ll update you further tomorrow. Many thanks.Andrew

 * Hi Everyone,
 * I can confirm I was able to resolve this issue in Chrome by updating to the latest
   version. If you’re still facing this issue, I recommend following the steps outlined
   by Andrew or reaching out to the developers of the browser you’re using for assistance.
 * Kind regards,
   Alex
