 * Hi,
    how can the default font settings be deactivated to have instead the settings
   in customizer->Typography used?

 * Assuming you’re using the classic editor. It does not inherit the settings from
   the Customizer. The additional styling there is set by the editor-style.css file
   in your theme (if present).
 * Your best bet is to add any additional styles in that file. Alternatively use
   [https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-tinymce-configuration/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-tinymce-configuration/)
   and add the `content_style` init option, see: [https://www.tiny.cloud/docs-4x/configure/content-appearance/#content_style](https://www.tiny.cloud/docs-4x/configure/content-appearance/#content_style).

 * Thanks for answering.
    I’m using TinyMCE both in classic mode and in Elementor.
   The default font settings of TinyMCE are overruling the customizer -> Typography
   settings of my theme. And so, I asked how the font settings of TinyMCE can be
   deactivated to let me use the theme font settings. But if I understood you well,
   then that is not possible and instead I should expand TinyMCE’s css with additional
   styles. That is a workaround I don’t have the skills for…. exactly that is, why
   I asked for deactivating Tiny’s own font settings.

 * Ah, you mean the “Font Family” drop-down menu in the editor toolbar? This can
   be deactivated from the TinyMCE Advanced’s settings by dragging the button off
   the toolbar. See [http://www.laptoptips.ca/projects/tinymce-advanced/#enable-buttons](http://www.laptoptips.ca/projects/tinymce-advanced/#enable-buttons).
