# Customizing Top Posts & Pages widget

 * The gap between thumbnail and post title is still far too wide, suggesting an
   edit to padding might tighten things up.
 * How would I do that?
 * I’d consider the shortcode if you can provide more complete documentation. For
   now, I’d prefer using the widget and add edits to functions.php.

 * If you already have the code in functions.php, you can edit the padding numbers
   to see what’s going to work better for you.
 * You might consider using a functionality plugin such as Code Snippets to do this
   instead of directly editing your functions.php file and potentially causing a
   code problem with your site.
