Hi ajberman,
Currently the only customizations supported are for the plugin output to adjust itself to better fit into light or dark background websites.
It is unlikely there will be an update allowing you to change the symbols, they are purposefully mimicking the Twitter symbols. I may move them from an image to an icon font though, to fit into responsive sites better.
What would you like to do with the Intent links (reply, retweet, favorite)?
No problem, I understand. I was trying to change the color states – actually almost reverse them so hover was white and normal was more of a dark gray.
Hi ajberman,
I just wanted you to know that I haven’t forgotten/ignored this. I have a note in my task list to move the intent icons used by the plugin to an icon-font, which will make changing the colors using CSS much more straight forward.
I am not 100% sure when I will be changing this, as I need to do quite a lot of testing on various browsers and devices to make sure it will work okay for most viewers first.
Either way, it will be changed relatively soon and due to your feedback. Thank you for making the time to let me know how you were trying to use the plugin, it will help to improve it in the future.
No problem, thanks for looking into it. The widget has been such a success and looks great – we’re super happy.
