“data-carousel-extra” added to each div

    When using the the Jetpack Gallery in a page, each div is equipped with “data-carousel-extra” attribute. Is it a feature or a bug? For me its a bit annoying because it makes the html code much bigger and unexpected css from jetpack.css is loaded to normal divs, like “cursor:pointer”. If I deactivate “Display images in a full-screen carousel gallery”-option, everything is fine.

    Meanwhile I fixed teh mouse pointer with CSS, but the origin problem is still there.

    Thanks for that. I do not see any errors on your site and the attributes you mentioned are expected. The Carousel adds those attributes to the image tags so it can use them to create the Carousel overlay.

    Thats clear, BUT the attributes are added to almost all <div> elements.

    Just check line 313 of the source of that link I shared. There you will find this attribute on a <div> which has nothing to wo with the image carousel.

    Or Line 279 there is even an empty <div> with that attributes:

    <div data-carousel-extra='{“blog_id”:1,”permalink”:”https:\/\/baidaolu.de\/baidaolu-100-wege-zu-reisen\/russland\/kalmukien\/”}’ class=”wp-block-column”></div>
