 * How does the plugin work on data serialization in the database?
 * I understand how to make a backup and restore. However, I didn’t find anything
   about changing the domain. I want to transfer the page to another server/domain(
   from localhost to XAMPP to live domain). How does it work? Can you explain me
   in basic steps?
 * What about login data (new domain, new username, new password, new database,…)?
   Can this be done through this plugin?
 * I haven’t used this plugin, but I’m seriously considering starting to use it.
   I just need a little more information. Thanks in advance.

 * Hi [@vipteam](https://wordpress.org/support/users/vipteam/),
 * Total Upkeep is the perfect backups and migrations plugin to use to accomplish
   data serialization right out of the box. Total upkeep backups can be created
   in a number of ways.
 * You can backup an entire WordPress website (database + files) or create a completely
   custom backup using specific files and database tables.
 * What makes it work is that you will have the Total Upkeep plugin installed at
   the **Source** url as well as the **Destination **url. You’ll have the ability
   to create a “Magic Link” from the source website then paste that link into the
   Destination site to initiate your migration.
 * After a restore your destination sites login data will reflect database of the
   source site.
 * I hope this helps [@vipteam](https://wordpress.org/support/users/vipteam/), please
   let us know if we can answer anything else for you.

 * Hi [@brandonco](https://wordpress.org/support/users/brandonco/),
 * Thank you for your reply. I think I got the basics down. Allow me a few more
   questions.
 * Total Unkeep is more than just a Backup/Restore plugin. I am confused by the
   multitude of options and possibilities.
 * It will be best to install Total Unkeep and explore the possibilities myself.
 * If I understood correctly, Total Unkeep does not have a backup like installer.
   php and archive.zip. To migrate a website to another domain, it works only through“
   Magic Link”. That means I need to do a clean install of WordPress on the destination,
   activate Total Unkeep on the source and destination and then it migrates the
   site? There is no other way?
 * Does it work on localhost with XAMPP?
 * Thanks in advance. Regards,

 * Hi [@vipteam](https://wordpress.org/support/users/vipteam/),
 * Thanks for your response and I apologize for the delay on this. Along with the
   Magic Link, Total Upkeep will allow you to upload backup archive files directly
   to your web server where you can restore them as well.
 * This can be done on a server level through FTP or directly from the Total Upkeep
   dashboard of your WordPress site.
 * You should be able to setup and run Total Upkeep with your XAMPP installation
   as well.
 * I hope this helps!

 * Hi [@brandonco](https://wordpress.org/support/users/brandonco/)
 * Thank you very much. I installed the plugin live on the server. Everything is
   perfectly clear. The plugin works flawlessly. I really enjoy using this plugin.
   You have a new user.
 * Have a nice day. Regards,
