 * Had Wordfence running fine, only a month out of date. Ran the plugin update,
   now it doesn’t see the config database.
 * The specific error in the logs is:
    `Table 'wp_wfConfig' doesn't exist in engine
   for query...` The table does exist
 * I’ve tried disabling all other plugins which didn’t help. Tried deleting Wordfence
   manually and reinstalling, but it only added 5 tables: wfFileChanges, wfKnownFileList,
   wfls_2fa_secrets, wfls_settings, wfPendingIssues
 * Any idea what to do?

 * Hi [@trilogen](https://wordpress.org/support/users/trilogen/), thanks for your
   message and sorry to see you’re experiencing this.
 * Just for my reference to have the full background of things you’ve tried, when
   manually removing, did you follow the instructions at: [https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/remove-or-reset/](https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/remove-or-reset/)?
 * You could also select “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation” from
   the plugin’s **All Options** page, deactivate the plugin and re-activate to see
   if the tables are created successfully when doing it this way.
 * Failing that, are you able to access the the **Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics**
   page when it is reactivated despite the error? If so, you could send a diagnostic
   report to **wftest @ wordfence . com**. You can find the link to do so at the
   top of the Diagnostics page. Click on **“Send Report by Email”**. Please add
   your forum username where indicated and _respond here after you have sent it._
 * Thanks,
 * Peter.

 * Hi [@wfpeter](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wfpeter/)!
 * Yes those are the instructions I followed for removal.
    Unfortunately the All
   Options page isn’t available in the current state.
 * I am able to access the diagnostics page and have sent in a report.
 * Thanks,
    Trilogen

 * Hi [@trilogen](https://wordpress.org/support/users/trilogen/), thanks for providing
   your diagnostic.
 * I can see which tables aren’t creating from there, which is fairly strange as
   our table structures haven’t undergone an update for releases during the timespan
   you mention. It would be a good idea to try [Wordfence Assistant](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence-assistant/)
   to remove all tables & data rather than the manual removal as that has worked
   for customers with similar issues in the past.
 * It could also be a good idea to check disk quota/space on your hosting, to be
   sure you’re not near the limit. If you still have the logs you referred to, we’d
   be happy to take a look in case there’s anything else relevant there.
 * Looking for Javascript errors might be worth doing when some Wordfence admin
   pages aren’t visible, so inspecting the [browser console](https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/troubleshooting/#how-to-inspect-the-browser-console)
   when attempting to access this page could show errors. If there are errors, could
   you please take a screenshot and upload it to a service like [Snipboard](https://snipboard.io/)
   so I can help you interpret what you’re seeing.
 * Thanks again,
 * Peter.

 * Using Wordfence Assistant to delete the database and files seems to have done
   the trick.
 * I’ve reinstalled Wordfence and it’s functioning normally.
 * Thanks!
