 * Hi, I’m wanting to backup my database using phpMyAdmin and I’ve had a look at
   the instructions [here](https://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database)
but they seem to be for a very old version of phpMyAdmin and there are now a
lot more options to choose from and different wording to what’s mentioned on
   that page.
 * Is there an up-to-date version of how to backup the database somewhere?

 * You may want to contact your webhost for specific instructions on how to do it
with their version of phpMyAdmin. Here is another resource from WordPress on
backing up the database that might also help: [https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups#Database_Backup_Instructions](https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups#Database_Backup_Instructions)
