# Database Crashed Table.

 * Client reported all pages other than Home Page not responding.

 * >When clicking on any page of the website but the home page, we get the following
   message: “Error establishing a database connection”
 * Confirmed the problem. After enabling database repair option I have the following
   results:
 * >Some database problems could not be repaired. Please copy-and-paste the following
   list of errors to the WordPress support forums to get additional assistance.
 * wp_options: Table is marked as crashed
 * Curiously the site now seems to be working, and I can log in to the WP Back-end.
   But I am not comfortable with the notion of a bad table lurking in the DB.
 * Next moves?

 * If you have a good backup of your DB taken prior to this issue, try to restore
   your database with it.
 * Alternatel, you can ask your hosting provider if they have a backup of your site
   taken prior to this issue, have them restore your site with it

 * FOr whatever reason, the overall site is now working again. But I would like 
   to clean up that table.

 * Hi Kurt –
 * It could be that the table is fine and not in need of repair, but that it is 
   being accessed so much, it is “crashing”. An innocent plugin with non-optimized
   queries can cause that.
 * You might want to consider installing the [Query Monitor plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/)
   temporarily to see what plugin is pounding on the options table. Then you can
   take action based on feedback from the plugin.
