 * How do I delete a post/page by editing my database?
 * I know I delete it from wp_posts but do I also need to make any other edits?

 * You don’t unless you know how to write a join query that correctly removes and
   updates the other tables that may have relational data for the given post.
 * Is there a particular reason you can’t you use the admin?

 * I installed the “WordPress Directory Links” plugin and it caused a server configuration
   error after I created a page within which to house the links directory. I can’t
   view my site, I can’t access the admin panel.
 * I’ve tried deleting the plugin’s files but that didn’t help.
 * Is there a way to turn off permalinks without accessing the admin panel? It might
   help if the problem is related to permalink settings.

 * Solved. Not quite sure where the problem originated but it seems to have been
   related to my htaccess file. Strange because I removed all but DirectorIndex 
   index.php when the error first occurred and now it works after deleting all its
   contents, saving it then restoring the line DirectoryIndex index.php . One for
   my Mysteries Book.
