# Database error

 * Can somebody help me? I have a dedicated server and I think I made something 
   wrong, because I can not anymore install wordpress without a “Error establishing
   a database connection”.
    I tried everything but nothing worked. The problem is
   onyl with wordpress, because the AutoresponsPlus is working. thanks for help 
   or advice. Rolf

 * Thanks figaro, but this all I have allready checked!
    I can install a new wordpress
   with fantastico but no chance! I think, there must be something in the server
   configuration, because it’s the same in all my accounts.

    run a repair on the database through
   phpmyadmin

 * i run a repair from the root and restarted the SQL Server, but still the same.

 * Thank you so very much, Figaro, for those great vids. I have been fighting a 
   database error for about two weeks, and since my wordpress was installed back
   in the day when volunteers did if free, I knew absolutely nothing about what 
   goes on under the hood. I followed your instructions to create a new user and
   password, made the changes, and it works!!
