# Database error after update

 * Hi there, I have just updated the plugin via wp admin now I my site is down, 
   both front and back ends.
 * **Error establishing a database connection**
 * Have checked with hosting provider and theres no issues from their end. I have
   check that the name, user and passwords are correct. Via ftp I have gone in to
   the plugins and renamed _rvg-optimize-database_ but am still unable to connect.
 * Any ideas ??

 * Which version did you update to? 3.2 or 3.2.1?
 * If you disable the plugin and still have the connection problem, something else
   must be going on…
