# Database Keeps Locking Up

 * So I’ve been running my site for about three years now and only recently, my 
   database has started locking up. Sometimes I’ll be writing a post and that message
   will pop up that says “Database Connection Lost” and it will go away after about
   30 seconds – 1 minute and sometimes, I won’t even be able to get into WordPress
   at all, I just get the white screen that says “Error Establishing Database Connection.”
   It happens everyday, several times throughout the day. My server admin told me
   one of my plugins is causing my database to lock up when it runs a certain task.
   So I downloaded the plugin Chrontrol to monitor all Chron jobs. It seems that
   I found the plugin which causes the “Error Establishing Database Connection” 
   issue, which happens once a day at 8:03pm EST – 8:15pm EST when a plugin called
   WPP runs its task, but the smaller lock ups, that last for 30 seconds to a minute,
   happen several times throughout the day and I’m not sure what’s causing them.
   They occur even when no Chron jobs are scheduled. It’s very frustrating and I’m
   not sure what to do. It’s driving me crazy though.
