 * I recently had my wordpress website migrated to a new server and the idiot who
did this neglected to move the sql database. Is there a backup copy of the sql
database stored somewhere within the folders? It looks to me like there might
be one in the wp-snapshots folder — if so can someone point me in the right direction.
 * I spent many days putting the site together and am really distraught!
 * The old server was taken down which is how I found out that the database was
missing as once it was removed my site ceased to work — yeah, the knucklehead
left my migrated site pointing to the old server’s sql!

 * You may have a plugin that stored backups, but it’s not a core WordPress thing
so you’d have to have set that up. But look for a file ending with `.sql` or
something like that in that snapshots folder
 * I don’t find a plugin named “wp-snapshots” (or anything similar) in the plugin
repo, but that file seems to be related to the Duplicator plugin, so I recommend
   asking at [https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/#new-post](https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/#new-post)
so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.

 * Oops! It’s quite unfortunate he forgot to migrate the database.
    Can you find
any .sql file inside the snapshot folder?
 * It’s worth mentioning that even though the server was shut down, in most cases
your previous host still has your website files/database. This should be a last
   resort of course.
 * Let me know if you see any .sql file in the snapshot folder so we can move forward.

 * yes, there is a .sql file in the snapshot folder and it’s dated about a month
   ago which seems promising

 * Try importing that file into your database using PHPMYADMIN.
