 * I’m using WP-Optimize plugin for database maintenance and it shows wp_redirection_404
   table with 34MB overhead. there are a few other tables with overhead but they
   all are between 4MB to 6MB. is this something to be concerned about?

 * Not especially. You have 34MB of log data. If you want to reduce that you can
   set an expiry on your logs
