# database table size changes migrating from localhost to webhost

 * Hi, i’m using [Jason bobich’s tutorial](http://www.jasonbobich.com/web-design/moving-wordpress-to-a-new-server/)
   to move my wordpress website. But in my case it doesn’t work. The website comes
   with a blank screen only.
    The SQL-file size is 1,7mb this shouldn’t be a problem
   as 2,048kb is max for import with phpMyAdmin. The export and import seems to 
   be successful. But when I compare ‘WP_Option table’, the two are different in
   size. The table in my local database says it is 2,5 mb, the one at the webhoster
   1,5mb.
 * Could this maximum size on import be the problem?
    Why such a small maximum size
   for import anyway?
 * Any advise, help or suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

 * I’d suggest you scrap the imported site and try again by following the instructions
   in [Moving_WordPress](http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress). The tutorial
   you used is missing at least one critical step – carrying out a search & replace
   that will work with serialized arrays. The Codex page I’ve referred you to above
   includes links to specialised tools that you can use for this.
