Hope you can get ii fixed soon. I just spent 20 minutes trying to fix it which I really needed to be spending on other things, which is probably true for a lot of other people also. Since it is occurring at the same time as a major WordPress core update, “something went wrong while updating the database” is not what anyone wants to see right now. Or ever, really. It is so much more user-friendly and stable than the other options that were available before Companion Auto Update came out, and has reduced old-version-related hacking on sites of some of my clients substantially, as well as saving me a lot of time managing my own sites.
