# Database Validation Error

 * Trying to migrate a site to a new server with Migrate Guru via FTP. FTP connects
   fine but then migration fails with an error message:
 * Error! The destination database could not be validated. Please check the destination
   WordPress and retry.
 * Blank WordPress install appears to be fine on the destination server. Any idea
   what might cause this?

 * Think the problem is that CSF is blocking external connection to port 3306 — 
   if possible I’d prefer to whitelist Migrate Guru IPs in the firewall rather than
   opening up the port for all.
 * What IP addresses/IP range would I need to specify?

 * Not sure the firewall is the issue — still getting the database validation error
   when temporarily opening 3306 and even if I temporarily disable the firewall 
   entirely.
 * Any ideas?
