# date format

 * I am using the Layers theme. I changed the date format to the proper order, ie
   j F Y, but it does not use this in the posts. How can I fix this?

 * You need to edit theme files. Find `<?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?>` and change 
   the parameters. See [Formatting Date and Time « WordPress Codex](http://codex.wordpress.org/Formatting_Date_and_Time).

 * Thanks. I found that string in archive.php, index.php, page.php, search.php and
   single.php
