 * Hi
 * A calendar I built for a client suddenly isnt working anymore.
 * I have a ACF date field formatted into separate divs for day, month and year
 * since I updated the PHP version, the field shows todays date instead of field
   value
 * I made a code example here [http://www.desuite.nu/klad/](http://www.desuite.nu/klad/)
 * Watch the problem in action here (scroll to bottom) [http://www.desuite.nu/agenda/](http://www.desuite.nu/agenda/)
 * Hope you can help!
 * Regards
 * Janco

 * Hi,
 * What is the php version you use now? I use 7.0 and formatting the date field
   works fine.
 * What happens when you add `in=timestamp` to your shortcode?

 * Hi Peter,
 * it’s currently on 7.2 / Apache 2.4
    The provider also offers 7.1 but the problem
   remains when I switch it.
 * adding in=timestamp doesn’t help unfortunately. I added it on [http://www.desuite.nu/klad/](http://www.desuite.nu/klad/)
 * I have also tried deactivating all other plugins, so far nothing helps… 🙁

 * Oh-oh
 * I switched it back to PHP 5.6 AND THE PROBLEM REMAINED
 * Must be something other than the PHP version.
 * Ideas, anyone?
 * I have this gutfeeling it must be something obvious and I will feel very stupid
   indeed when someone points it out to me 😉

 * It wasnt that I updated the PHP version. It was that I updated the Advanced Custom
   Fields plugin. Apparently the inner worlings of the date field changed. Needed
   to set the output to ‘custom’ and hey-presto my date formatting was back in business.
