# Date – no future data allowed

 * On my checkout page, I’m asking buyers to add their birthday. But since the ‘
   Date’ field could be used for all dates (for instance preferred start date of
   a subscription), it is possible for buyers to add future dates. With birthdates,
   that doesn’t make sense. Is there a way how I can prevent people of filling in
   future dates?

 * Thank you for reaching out to us!
 * Sure, to prevent customers from selecting future dates for the birthday field,
   you can follow these steps:
    1. Go to **WooCommerce** → **Checkout Fields**.
    2. Edit the settings of the date field you added.
    3. Navigate to the **Advanced** tab of that field.
    4. In the **Days after** field, set the value to **0**.
    5. Save the changes.
 * This will restrict the selection of future dates for the birthday field. I’ve
