# Date Shortcode Not Working

 * I’ve had the [oceanwp_date] short code on our site’s footer for some time and
   I’m sure it used to correctly put the year next to our copyright. But I’ve just
   noticed that the shortcode isn’t working. Instead of “2019”, it’s actually showing
   the shortcode itself. i.e. “© [oceanwpdate]”
 * Any suggestions what could be causing this, assuming it’s just broken for me…

 * Update the PHP version so that Ocean Extra plugin can work. It will fix the date
   shortcode issue.

 * It was the PHP version. There was some 5.6 PHP in the htaccess file it seems.
