# Datepicker sizing error

 * The datepicker width is coming in larger than my screen.
    When you click the
   Next Month button or similar it expands even further. I think this has to do
   with the datepicker offset js, but I can’t seem to figure out what is different
   between my theme and its parent twentysixteen which seems to work fine.
 * You can view it here.

 * Hey [@enjabain](https://wordpress.org/support/users/enjabain/),
 * So sorry you’re having these issues, happy to help!
 * Since this seems to be a theming issue, I would recommend checking in with your
   theme developer about it. Unfortunately, we can’t support conflicts with custom
   themes on this forum. 🙁 If you’d like to take a stab at it yourself, I highly
   recommend checking out our Themer’s Guide.
 * Let us know if you have any further questions! 🙂
 * Best,
 * Shelby

 * Thanks Shelby, unfortunately I am the theme developer 🙂
    Anyways. I fixed it
   by removing table-layout: fixed from that particular table.
 * Still have no idea why my theme didn’t like table fixed though. Oh well.
 * Thanks,
    Ben

 * I had a similar issue with our custom theme. I resolved both the width issue
   and the back/forward buttons not working by simply setting the long names for
   the days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, … to Mon, Tue, Wed, … in vendor/bootstrap-
   datepicker/js/bootstrap-datepicker.[min.]js (both). A bit of an ugly hack but
   the Events page in our theme is now working (and looking) fine.

 * Hey [@enjabain](https://wordpress.org/support/users/enjabain/) & [@nc3man](https://wordpress.org/support/users/nc3man/),
 * Glad to see you found temporary fixes! Since everything seems to be working with
   Twenty-Sixteen, we, unfortunately, can’t support custom theme conflicts on this
   forum. Be sure to reach out in the future if you have questions about our plugin!
   🙂
 * Best of luck with your projects!
 * Cheers,
 * Shelby

 * Thanks for the reply, Shelby. I do have one other issue which I’m also sure is
   due to our custom theme. Your list widget that we use on the right hand column
   of our home page only always says “No Upcoming Events” even though we clearly
   have events ahead within just days of the current date. There was an issue related
   to this [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/says-no-upcoming-events-at-this-time-but-there-are/#post-8527579](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/says-no-upcoming-events-at-this-time-but-there-are/#post-8527579),
   and I replied there that I have the same problem – I have gotten no response,
   probably because that issue was marked resolved. I understand you can’t support
   our theme, but any idea where I might look to resolve this?
    Thanks!
