# Deactivate comments for specific language?

 * Hi,
 * is there any possibility to deactivate comments for a specific language? I use
   WPML and my Blog is written in German and English – but I would like to have 
   the comment function only on the German page. The english page should be without
   the comment function.
 * Is there any setting or custom code to do this?

 * You can uncheck the “Allow Comments” option. This option is located under the
   post/page editor in the edit post admin page.
 * 1) Make sure the “Discussions” admin-box is allowed using “Screen Options” on
   the “Edit Post” admin page.
    2) Find the “Discussions” admin-box below and uncheck
   the “Allow Comments” option for English pages.

   a possibility to uncheck the comments in all english posts via sql in phpmyadmin?
