# Debugging “In Progress”

 * Everything has been working with EWWW for a while, however now the Media Library
   page shows many of my recent images are stuck on “In Progress”
 * According to [this page](https://docs.ewww.io/article/18-image-queues-stuck),
   I should ” turn on EWWW’s debug option in the settings. Then there will be a 
   couple new items under the Media menu.”
 * The only debug option I see is on the Suport tab: Debugging – Use this to provide
   information…
 * When I turn that on and refresh everything I don’t see any additional Items under
   the Media menu. What am I missing?

 * Hi Richard,
    That message means the images are still in the “async” queue, and
   it typically suppresses the debug information that would otherwise show up–usually
   isn’t helpful in this case anyway.
 * What I would do first is to check the queue status under Tools->EWWW Image Optimizer.
   It’ll tell you how many items are in the queue, and whether it’s running or idle.
 * If it’s just sitting idle and never updating, then I would purge the queue and
   manually optimize the images. If new images keep ending up as In Progress, then
   we will want to debug further, as something may have buggered up the async handling.
