   choose a pre-established image to show without bulking?

 * Ok I understand. Actually no, this is not the purpose of the plugin.
   But there
   are some good plugins that can do what you want. For example I personally use
   [Default featured image](https://wordpress.org/plugins/default-featured-image/),
   which does the job.
