# Default language

 * Hello,
 * I have started my website with English being the default language, then I have
   installed the translate press plugin to translate to Portuguese as I want 2 languages.
   Now I have realized I want to better reach out to the public that speaks Portuguese,
   because also I am writing more content in Portuguese. Should I keep the default
   language in English, or is it better for google searches to change it to Portuguese.
   Does it have any impact on ranking in google?
