Default placeholder for eventexcerpt

Hello.
I need a conditional placeholder for _EVENTEXCERPT/_EVENTEXCERPTCUT but I can’t find one. Is there a workaround or am I missing something really basic?

The automatic condition is: if there is no content, it will echo blank. Any other conditions, you will need to create yourself using custom coding.
