 * Is it possible to have Post Type labels use the singular and plural post type
   names (e.g. “Add New Event”) without having to manually enter them into each
   label field? It looks much better to have the labels populate with the actual
   post type names than the default “Tag” label.
 * Coming from the CPT UI plugin and this is the one thing I miss. CPT UI automatically
   generates the labels using the plural and singular names.

 * Hello,
 * Thanks for the feedback!
 * This feature is a little more complicated than it looks like, as the labels have
   to take care of words starting with a consonant or a vowel (“Add an item” & “
   Add a post”). Also some words are invariable (no plural). This plus others stuff
   like handling the scenario where the user change the main label, but want to
   keep manually set labels.
 * This feature will probably come in a future patch, but it’s a low priority task,
   since it’s only for usage comfort and everything can be already set by the user
   currently. So I don’t have any ETA yet.
 * Hope this answers your question.
 * Have a nice day!
 * Regards.

 * Makes sense. Different languages can also complicate it.
 * A simple solution would be to only implement default labels with the singular/
   plural without handling all the possible variations like you mentioned. Then
   users can set manual labels if they want to fine tune it. This would cover the
   vast majority of use cases. If users feel the need for grammatical hyper-accuracy,
   they can set them manually.
 * For example: Assume a CPT with with singular/plural names of Event/Events. “Edit
   Event” is more intuitive than the current “Edit Post”. Personally, even “Add
   a Event” would be preferred over “Add a Post” because it eliminates confusion
   with the default WP naming.
 * Also, thanks for the quick reply!

 * Hello,
 * I understand that you would like a quick implementation of the feature, but I
   prefer release a fully fleshed-out feature (which takes care of all possible
   cases) instead of a partial implementation.
 * Otherwise, I know that within few days upon release I’ll receive tickets asking
   to fix consonants or a vowels and plural words.
 * I hope you’ll understand.
 * Have a nice day!
 * Regards.
