# Default Search Fields

 * Hi, I want the default values of listing type, property type and others to rent,
   Residential etc. How cab i get it, i mean its really the basic of a search, n
   i know it would be very easy. Its very urgent and important because it is taking
   so long.

 * You can set default values for search widget using WPL shortcode. For example
   if you insert sf_select_listing=”10″ into the [WPL] shortcode, search widget 
   will show “For rent” as default value for Listing Type field.
 * If your page doesn’t have WPL shortcode, you can set the default values for search
   fields using some custom JS codes on load of page.

 * There are various ways for it.
    1- You can add your custom JS code into one of
   your theme files such as header.php 2- You can override WPL search widget file
