# “Default tracking” does not work

 * I installed the plugin on different websites with different themes. None of them
   works with the option “Default tracking”. Has the tracking code to be added manually
   to the header or footer?

 * sorry about this. Things should work automatically if “default tracking” is enabled.
   Do you mind posting your system report (or sending it to wordpress at matomo.

   The report should be anonymised automatically. If you send us an email be great
   to let us know here in case it goes into spam.
 * If you can send us a URL to your website by email to wordpress at matomo.org 
   as well then I’d check if the tracking code is embedded on the site or not. This
   would help identify where the problem might be (tracking code not embedded or
   tracking maybe not working).
