# Default value entry not workin

 * When making a project template, I’m trying to use $$USER$$ as a default value
   for a field (even tried manually setting 1234 as default value) – but when I 
   try to add a new record in the form – the field is empty, also I tried to set
   it as Read Only because I dont want the user to be able to change that value –
   but it can be changed anyways.

 * We tested this on our test site but the variable was working properly for us.

 * To properly set your data form for **Read Only**, you need to also disallow insert.
