• I’ve created quite a few Pages (not posts) with Galleries using the WordPress Default Gallery Shortcode Codex. http://www.LeLacAppelle.com (see the Galleries menu) I REALLY like the initial Thumbnail View and the the SlideShow View.

I arranged the Thumbnails in the order I want them to appear (example: 2.jpg, 1.jpg, 3jpg). However, the SlideShow view ignores the Thumbnail sequence and steps through by file name (example: 1.jpg > 2.jpg > 3.jpg)

When I created the initial galleries, I uploaded them to AddToMedia/MediaLibrary with the “Images” dropdown selected. I found out later if I had selected “Uploaded to This Page” from the dropdown, I could have arranged them there and the SlideShow would be viewed in the preferred order 🙁

I found a few plugins that replace the Default WordPress Gallery (which is really nice for testing different plugins), but they appear to have the same issue.

    So, my questions are:

    1) Is there an easy change I can make to the Gallery Shortcode within each Page (or in image.php) to force the SlideShow to use the Thumbnail sort order?

    2) Short of re-uploading all of the photos, is there any way to get the images for a specific gallery FROM the “Images” location where I uploaded them, TO the “Uploaded to This Page” location?

Thanks in advance for any insight/guidance!
