 * Hi everyone,
 * I am wondering how long are the default WordPress themes maintained?
 * I built a site with Twenty-Twenty Three theme about a year ago, then two months
   ago, after upgrading WordPress to a newer version, I started having some theme
   related problems. I created a new topic in Fixing WordPress forum, however they
   directed me to theme support forum. After almost two months there has been no
   response in the theme support forum.
 * So the thing is, I like the default WordPress themes, they are simple and provide
   mi with everything I need (especially the new block themes), but if they are
   maintained for just a year or two is it a good idea to actually use them?
 * If not, can you recommend another better opensource block theme with better long
   term support?
 * Thank you for your answers 🙂

 * Even the standard [TwentyTen ](https://de.wordpress.org/themes/twentyten/)theme
   is still supplied with updates. And that’s from 2010, so I’d recommend you worry
   less about that 🙂

 * Sorry for my late response and thank you for your answer. Since there is no response
   on the theme forum, should I report an issue somewhere else? Maybe on the WordPress
   issue tracker?

 * You can do that. But I think you’ll get an answer similar to mine.

 * Sorry to hijack this thread. I have a similar question. I am planning to build
   my site using the default Twenty Twenty Five theme. COnsidering its a block theme,
   the “theme” styling is just patterns. So other than more patterns, what will
   be the differences between the Twenty Twenty Five theme and the upcmoming Twenty
   Twenty Six and subsequent themes? If it were Classic themes, I would understand
   the design might be set but with Block themes, does it matter anymore?
 * THanks,
 * Prad
