# Delete old backups

 * Hi,
    I just found by ftp some older backups that are not shown in the backend.
   I tried to delete them, but I got an error message: : Operation not permitted
   Fehler -144: remote delete failed
 * How can I delete that (more than 1Gb) file?

 * I’m not sure if you reach out through our other support channel or not.
 * I’m also not sure why you can’t delete the file, are you able to delete any file
   at all? I would be tempted to contact your host about this issue.
