# delete plugin

 * I installed the free version of WP staging for a temporary staging site. Now 
   to save room I want to delete the plugin but it does not deactivate and the WP
   STAGING Optimizer is listed as a “must use” plugin.
 * I have unticked the WP STAGING Optimizer in the settings.
 * Please provide instructions to deactivate and delete the plugin.

 * what happens when you try to deactivate the plugin?
   You can deactivate and delete
   all plugins from wp-admin > plugins
 * How did you try to delete the plugin?
   If you still have issues deleting the plugin,
   please contact us at support [at] wp-staging.com

 * Nothing happened. It would not deactivate.
 * I deleted the files via CPanel
