# Delete post attachments too

 * I’m using the “Scheduler for Deleting Posts by Post Type”-Addon.
    However this
   leaves a lot of unused attachments behind.
 * According to your repsonse [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/question-about-complete-deletion/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/question-about-complete-deletion/)
   there is no inbuild function to remove the attachments at the same time.
 * To simply delete unattached images is no option at all (this would delete other
   medias as well which we need).
 * It would be much better if there would be an option to simply delete all attached
   media files to such a deleted post.

 * Thanks for the feedback.
 * I agree that deleting all unattached images may not be the right approach all
   the time.
 * Providing an option to delete attachments of the posts (provided that they are
   not used by other posts) that are getting deleted would be very helpful.
