 * Before I install this plugin, I have a question:
    in case I deactivate/delete
   this plugin one day, will it erase also all the data/db tables it created during
   the install? Just to be sure that there won’t be dirty leftovers 🙂

 * Hi cyberlp23,
 * That is a great question, I know we have included a way to permanently delete
   the code block data from the tables. This is explained in the Uninstall section
   of the CJT documentation:
    [http://css-javascript-toolbox.com/documentation/](http://css-javascript-toolbox.com/documentation/)
 * It is a checkbox in the general options, that allows you to delete the data on
   uninstall. If you leave this checkbox un-ticked, you can uninstall and reinstall
   at a later date and it will retain all of your data (e.g. code block and code
   template data, etc).
 * As for cleaning the few database tables that CJT actually creates, I will need
   to double-check. Like I said, CJT only creates a few tables, and you can go into
   phpMyAdmin and see for yourself.
 * Kind Regards,
    Damian

 * I didn’t see the checkbox and uninstalled *so I thought*
 * I counted a total of **17 tables** left behind. I peeked into the DB.
 * Some tables have very little data and others with quite a bit of data and I hadn’t
   even done much with the plugin (played with one script). One of the template
   tables has over 200 records, all supplied at install.
 * I think the uninstall process should default to remove all including tables.
   Would be nice if option to keep for later was on uninstall page not hidden in
   general options.

 * Hi snaphappyme,
 * Yes that is good advice, thank you.
 * Did you end up reinstalling the CJT plugin and ticking the checkbox in General
   Options to remove your data?
 * Kind Regards,
    Damian

 * [@wipeoutmedia](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wipeoutmedia/),
 * I certainly did. Reinstalled the plugin and found the secret checkbox (I know
   you did your best) and uninstalled.
 * Checked the tables were gone… whoo hoo.
 * My final comments:
 * The plugin looks great, but needs an interface refresh to make it less confusing
   and more clear to use. I have no doubts it is very functional, but when time
   is of the essence simplicity and UI really counts.
 * Perhaps you can pair up with a graphic designer who could help you design icons
   and UI that is streamlined.
 * I would prefer to see some functions in boxes (collapse/expandable) down the
   page rather than so much packed into one area.
 * I am very cluey but couldn’t afford the time to learn by “trial and error”. It
   would have done what I wanted and more, but couldn’t see my way through the interface
   to get it up-n-going quickly and reliably.
 * I should say I gave the plugin a second chance, I visited your online docs in
   the hope of getting it going and understanding the interface and options better–
   but struck out as info was incomplete/absent or not specific enough.
 * Hope these suggestions are welcomed.

 * Hi snaphappyme,
 * Thanks for your time to write this feedback.
    I certainly welcome any suggestions,
   and what you have said makes perfect sense and would be worth considering in
   a future update.
 * You are also right in what you said about the documentation as this needs to
   be updated, more detailed and better explained.
 * Kind Regards,
    Damian

 * Hi,
 * We are cleaning out our wordpress and we are trying to delete your plugin. I
   checked the wipe data and deactivated the plugin and tried to delete it but it
   says it can’t:
    “Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully
   remove the plugin(s) css-javascript-toolbox-plugin-master/css-js-toolbox.php.”
 * We tried removing it directly from FileZilla and it breaks the site with a white
   screen and the error at the top.
 * How can we remove this?
 * Thank you

 * Hi shipcompliant,
 * Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
    Are you still having issues with
   deleting the plugin?
 * This is the first time I have heard of this issue and we have had fully tested
   this function and had thousands of installs and uninstalls including wiping out
   the data. I am not saying you are not experiencing this issue, I am just trying
   to understand why it does not delete.
    I am wondering if you have folder/file
   permissions set too high or .htaccess rules or a security plugin getting in the
   way. Do let us know how you get on and I will discuss this with my colleague
   to consider other ideas to try.

    Damian

 * Hi [@wipeoutmedia](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wipeoutmedia/) and [@shipcompliant](https://wordpress.org/support/users/shipcompliant/).
 * I had a thought based on my own experience trying to do the same.
 * I didn’t find the **remove all checkbox** until after I had deactivated and uninstalled
   the plugin myself.
 * I had to reinstall and re-enable the plugin a second time and then hit checkbox
   and do uninstall again for it to completely clear all data etc.
 * Could be similar situation? Would be interesting to see if the database tables
   are present as this was a sign of a partial uninstall.
 * [@shipcompliant](https://wordpress.org/support/users/shipcompliant/) do you have
   access to a SQL tool in your hosting space to poke inside the database and look
   for CJT tables?

 * Hi [@wipeoutmedia](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wipeoutmedia/),
 * I was able to figure it out. But I had to reinstall the plugin via ftp to get
   the whole site back up. Activate the plugin, hit wipe data, deactivate and delete
   via FTP to get it fully uninstalled.
 * Thanks

 * So my suggestion was right, that’s what I had to do too.
